# Privacy Policy for RemotePilot

## Overview

RemotePilot is a Bluetooth HID remote control application that turns your Android device into a wireless keyboard, mouse, touchpad, gamepad, and media remote for controlling computers, TVs, and other devices.

**RemotePilot does not collect, store, or share any personal information.**

## Data Collection

We do **not** collect, transmit, or share any of the following:

- ❌ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- ❌ Location data
- ❌ Contacts or address book
- ❌ Photos, images, or media files
- ❌ Audio or voice recordings
- ❌ SMS or call logs
- ❌ Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- ❌ Usage analytics or telemetry
- ❌ Crash reports or diagnostic data

## Permissions

RemotePilot requests the following Android permissions solely for core functionality:

| Permission | Why It's Needed |
|---|---|
| **Bluetooth** | To pair with and send HID commands (keyboard, mouse, gamepad) to the host device |
| **Location** (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) | Required by Android to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. Location data is **never** accessed or stored. |
| **Internet / Network State** | Used only for local Wi-Fi TV control (e.g., LG webOS, Philips, Samsung TVs) on your home network. No data is sent to external servers. |
| **Foreground Service** | To maintain the Bluetooth HID connection while the app runs in the background |

## Third-Party Services

RemotePilot integrates with:

- **Google Play Billing** — for optional premium features. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play; RemotePilot does not receive or store your payment information.

No other third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.

## Data Storage

All app preferences (theme, button layouts, sensitivity settings) are stored **locally on your device** using Android's built-in SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.

## Children's Privacy

RemotePilot is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

## Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, updates will be posted within the app and on this page.
